Captain von Adelmar is a gorgeous extra large 4 year old German Shepherd. Large and in charge, Captain is ready to come on board as the best (and possibly hunkiest) friend you ever had! On walks, he is eager to stay close to his brother Roscoe, with whom he arrived at the shelter.  While he is quite firm about that, a firm leash grip and a calm, confident manner will go a long way toward properly socializing this husky fellow! Captain also does well with most other dogs, although pushy ones or high energy puppies are warned with a single bark to respect personal space. In his kennel, he likes to talk to passersby but, if you speak directly to him in a low voice, this handsome fellow melts your heart by tilting his head and sitting down to listen to anything you would like to tell him. Captain is partial to massages and would really like to be in a home where he can relax with you and keep watch over whatever is most precious to you. Captain is available to go out of state.
